A lot of weak writing, especially the whole Harvey sleeping with Esther causing the whole Louis and Harvey rift just for the sake of drama. Also disliked the whole Donna situation with Harvey, her character greatly weakened to a one-dimensional presence who just happens to know everything. Elsewhere Rachel was still pretty annoying and an insignificant presence other than to give Mike a reason to resign. That leads to the finale which finally incorporated flashbacks effectively and although I disliked Harvey’s psychiatrist arc it wrapped up nicely enough. Jessica was a highlight character for sure here and although Hardman and Soloff attacking the firm was a little shoe-horned in it offered the most interesting aspect of the season. Harvey resigning to save Jessica was a nice moment and although Mike getting arrested was completely thrown-in the last moment it was still pretty effective. Interesting to see where it goes, hopefully the show can follow-through and not take back its decisions like in the past.

These 6 episodes were the most consistent we’ve had in awhile. This was mostly due to the whole endgame arc with Mike’s trial and although the writing isn’t the best the last 3 episodes were pretty great and intense. Not sure what to make of another season, I just hope for no Deus Ex Machina that deems all of this inconsequential.
